Megan Hilty Joins TV Land Comedy Pilot ‘I Shudder’

TV Land has tapped Megan Hilty and three other theater vets to star in the comedy pilot “I Shudder.”

The pilot written by Paul Rudnick revolves around a master of etiquette, played by Hamish Linklater, who inflicts terrible consequences on those who don’t take his advice. Hilty, a stage vet and former star of NBC’s “Smash,” and John Behlmann (“The 39 Steps”) will play the parents of an 11-year-old girl who lives next door to Linklater’s character, Elyot Vionnet.

Geneva Carr (“Hand to God”) and Brooklyn Shuck (“Matilda”) have also signed on to the pilot, to be lensed in New York in October.

Rudnick is exec producing with Dan Jinks. The pilot is based on Rudnick’s book of the same name: “I Shudder: And Other Reactions to Life, Death and New Jersey.”
