“Friends” may have ended years ago, but it’s clear that Matt LeBlanc still has that Joey Tribbiani charm.
The “Episodes” star channeled his “Friends” character while visiting “The Graham Norton Show” and broke out into some of Joey’s old songs on the show.
Norton reminded LeBlanc of one early episode of “Friends” in which Joey stars in a musical based on the life of Dr. Sigmund Freud. While LeBlanc doesn’t perform the accompanying dance with the number from the musical, he does remember the tune and lyrics, sung with Freud’s Austrian accent.
LeBlanc also mentions an episode in the fifth season of the popular comedy where Joey finds his “hand twin” and thinks he’s struck gold.
“Joey meets a guy in the casino who’s his exact hand double, and he thinks he has struck it rich now. ‘NASA’s gonna want to talk to us, this is big,'” LeBlanc says, setting up the situation for fellow guests Kit Harington and Rebel Wilson.
He then breaks out into the song, sung to the tune of Woodie Guthrie’s “This Land is Your Land“: “This hand is your hand, this hand is my hand — no wait that’s your hand, oh no that’s my hand!”
Unsurprisingly, Joey’s still got it.
