Julia Ormond has joined “Incorporated,” Syfy’s futuristic espionage thriller pilot that hails from Matt Damon and Ben Affleck’s Pearl Street Productions, CBS Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions.
The project centers on Ben Larson (“Reign’s” Sean Teale), a young executive who risks everything to infiltrate an all-controlling corporate world to save the woman he loves. He ends up taking down the entire system — with deadly consequences.
Ormond will play Ben’s mother-in-law, Elizabeth. A powerful, whip-smart top executive who enjoys the perks of her position, she is also trapped in a ruthless system that demands results. The cast includes Georgina Haig (“Once Upon a Time”) as Ben’s wife Laura.
“Incorporated” is created and written by David and Alex Pastor (“Selfless,” “The Last Days”), who also will direct the pilot. Ted Humphrey (“The Good Wife”) will serve as executive producer-showrunner. Damon, Affleck and Jennifer Todd are also exec producing. Pearl Street Film’s Margaret Chernin will serve as associate producer. Syfy greenlit the pilot in April, and it is scheduled to commence production later this year.
Ormond, who was most recently seen in “Mad Men” and “Witches of East End,” is repped by Creative Partners Group and Gersh.
