Power couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s latest project, romantic comedy series “Ordinary People,” has landed at ABC with a put pilot order, Variety has confirmed.

“Ordinary People,” which shares a name with Legend’s first huge single, is a single-camera romantic comedy series rumored to be based on Legend and Teigen’s relationship. The series will follow an interracial couple with different personalities and big plans for the future. Music will play a large part on the show, fitting with Legend’s line of work.

ABC Studios will co-produce with Legendary Television, which has an overall pact with Legend’s Get Lifted Film Company. “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris will serve as exec producer, and “Survivor’s Remorse” scribe Tracy Oliver will pen the script. Other exec producers include Legend, Teigen, Get Lifted partners Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius and Principato-Young’s Brian Dobbins, Paul Young and Peter Principato.

News of the deal was first reported by Deadline.
