‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ Adds Joe Biden to First Week’s Guest List

Late Show with Stephen Colbert” has added one more person to its inaugural week’s guest list: Vice President Joe Biden will appear on the Sept. 10 episode of the CBS program.

Biden joins the evening’s previously announced guests, Uber CEO Travis Kalanick and country singer Toby Keith.

Colbert shared the addition via Twitter:

The news comes hours after NBC announced that Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump would be appearing on the Sept. 11 episode of rival latenight program, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Colbert will interview Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders on the Sept. 18 episode and Republican candidate Jeb Bush will be one of his opening night’s guests on Sept. 8.

It is unclear if Biden will use the “Late Show” platform to make any campaign announcements of his own.
