Disney Channel’s hit “Jessie,” starring Debby Ryan, is officially coming to a close after four seasons, but the Mouse House has ordered a spinoff straight to series, which will bring back favorites Peyton List, Skai Jackson and Karan Brar.
The returning cast members will reprise their original roles as Emma, Zuri and Ravi Ross, respectively.
Adam Bonnett, executive vice president, original programming, Disney Channels Worldwide, made the announcement Wednesday: “‘Jessie’ has been a fan-favorite for the past four years. We are excited that viewers all over the world can continue to watch the humorous antics of Emma, Ravi and Zuri, beloved characters played brilliantly by Peyton, Karan and Skai.”
“Jessie” creator Pamela Eells O’Connell will exec produce the untitled spinoff, which is set to begin production this spring.
Cameron Boyce who stars as Luke Ross in “Jessie” is taking his next step headlining his own series in the Disney family, “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything,” which is set to premiere on sister net XD this summer.
“I’m really glad that we have a spinoff because otherwise, right now, I’d probably be bawling talking about finishing the show,” Disney starlet List said of the new “Jessie” series.
