‘Ice & Coco’ Daytime Talk Show Lands Summer Test Run on Fox Stations

Real-life couple and reality stars Ice-T and Coco have landed their own daytime talk show from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, which will air across Fox stations, as a three-week daily test run this summer.

The announcement was made Monday by Frank Cicha, senior VP of programming, Fox Television Stations’ Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution; and Mike Darnell, president of Warner Bros. unscripted and alternative television.

“Ice & Coco” will cover topics of the day including Hollywood news and even puppy bits, and will feature celebrity guests, fun segments, games and open interviews, presented in a “fun, authentic vibe” by the husband-and-wife duo who will bring a “fresh perspective to the daily talk show format.” The series will premiere Aug. 3 on select Fox-owned stations in markets, including New York and L.A.

“We see this as another attempt to do something different — big personalities, new to the daypart,” Cicha said in a statement. “Ice-T helped change popular culture. We’re trying to do the same thing for daytime.”

Werner added, “We are thrilled to continue our ongoing relationship with Fox attempting to develop the next generation of successful talk shows. ‘Ice & Coco’ has all the earmarks of a success.”

Candi Carter of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and “Just Keke” will serve as exec producer on the daytime talker, which hails from Telepictures Productions.

Ice-T currently stars on “Law & Order: SVU.” The couple helmed their own E! reality show, “Ice Loves Coco,” which premiered in June 2011 and ran for three seasons.

Of their new talk show, Ice-T and Coco commented, “It’s a fun show with our own style of hip, married humor and honesty.”
