BYUtv’s ‘Granite Flats’ Heading to Netflix with Season 3

Netflix will be the official streaming home to BYUtv’s Cold War drama series “Granite Flats.”

The first-ever scripted series for BYUtv begins its third season May 15, and all three seasons will be available on Netflix. Season three launches with eight one-hour episodes.

Parker Posey and George Newbern join the new round of episodes with series regulars Christopher Lloyd, Finola Hughes and Ivan Sergei.

“Now in its third season, ‘Granite Flats’ continues to captivate viewers through riveting scenarios and intriguing characters that are inspired by actual historic events,” said Derek Marquis, executive producer of “Granite Flats” and managing director of BYUtv. “We are pleased to announce the addition of two distinguished actors, Parker Posey and George Newbern, to our iconic ensemble cast, while continuing our investments in original, family-appropriate programming that fills a void in primetime.”

Brian McNamara and Blair Treu have also been added as guest directors.

Based in Provo, Utah, BYUtv is owned by Brigham Young University, and “Granite Flats” is filmed entirely on location in Utah.
