“Golan the Insatiable,” the animated program that first aired on Fox as part of its latenight Animation Domination HD programming block, is returning to the network and will air during primetime this summer with a new cast.
The updated version has Rob Riggle voicing a mighty overlord from another dimension who winds up in Oak Grove, Minnesota. His only friend is a wry 9-year-old girl (Aubrey Plaza) who would love for him to wreak havoc on her town. Additional voice talent includes Ken Marino, John DiMaggio, Maria Bamford, Rachel Butera and Nick Rutherford.

“Golan” was created by Joshua Miller and developed by Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser. Nick Weidenfeld and Hend Baghdady serve as executive producers, alongside Silverstein and Jeser. Miller serves as a co-executive producer. The series is produced by Weidenfeld’s Friends Night, in association with Double Hemm. ADHD is led by Weidenfeld and Baghdady and continues to develop and oversee production on quarter-hour series, which currently air on FXX.
This is the first ADHD series to land a primetime series order.
“Golan” will premiere at 9:30 p.m. May 31 on Fox.
