Disney XD Renews ‘Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything’ for Season 2 (EXCLUSIVE)

It’s game-on for another season of Disney XD’s live-action comedy series “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything,” which has been renewed for Season 2, Variety has learned exclusively.

Starring Cameron Boyce, a fan-favorite alum of Disney Channel’s popular sitcom “Jessie,” the show revolves around a teenage pro-gaming phenomenon, Conor, whose thumb injury forces him off the elite gaming circuit and back to public school. The cast is rounded out by Murray Wyatt Rundus, Felix Avitia and Sophie Reynolds, who play Conor’s (Boyce) friends.

In the first season, Conor and his three friends started their high school’s first-ever gaming league. In the second season, the team will set its sights on a global championship.

“Gamer’s Guide’s” July 2015 premiere ranked as Disney XD’s No.1 series debut among boys 6-11 in the young male-skewing network’s fifteen year history. To date, the show is the cabler’s No.2 live-action original series of all time across boys 2-11 and 6-11, according to Nielsen’s “live plus seven” ratings.

The series, hailing from It’s A Laugh Prods., was created by Devin Bunje and Nick Stanton (“Zeke & Luther,” “Turbo Fast”) who serve as exec producers with showrunner Jim O’Doherty (“Grounded for Life,” “3rd Rock from the Sun,” “Kickin’ It”).

Production on Season 2 of “Gamer’s Guide” resumes in spring 2016 in Los Angeles, and the new season will premiere next year.
