Have mercy. John Stamos is heading back to TV for his very own comedy on FoxVariety has learned.

The network made its second round of series orders Thursday with Stamos’ “Grandfathered,” plus post-college laffer “The Guide to Surviving Life.”

The two pickups follow Rob Lowe’s comedy “The Grinder,” which was made official at Fox earlier today, along with dramas “Rosewood,” “The Frankenstein Code,” “Lucifer” and “Minority Report.”

“Grandfathered” follows a longtime bachelor, Jimmy, played by Stamos, whose life is flipped upside down when he learns he’s a father — and a grandfather. Josh Peck stars as his son, Gerald. “Community’s” Paget Brewster, Christina Milian, Kelly Jenrette and Ravi Patel round out the comedy cast. The series comes from ABC Studios and 20th Century Fox Television; Danny Chun will serve as writer and exec producer, alongside Stamos and Dan Fogelman. Chris Koch will direct.

“The Guide to Surviving Life,” from 20th Century Fox TV and the Jackal Group, celebrates the mistakes and misadventures everyone makes during the years after college but before settling down. Jay Lacopo is writer and will exec produce with Gail Berman, Bill Callahan and director James Griffiths. Jack Cutmore-Scott, Meaghan Rath, James Earl, Charlie Saxton, Maureen Sebastian and “The Hangover’s” Justin Bartha star.

The new series join Ryan Murphy’s previously ordered “Scream Queens” and “The X-Files” revival on Fox’s 2015-16 slate.

As for Stamos, the “Full House” actor has a busy plate, as he’s set to return to Netflix’s sequel series of the ’90s family sitcom.
