Spike TV has greenlit 10 episodes of new unscripted series “Family Takeover,” the cabler announced Wednesday.

Hosted by Fortune 500 strategist Victor Antonio, the one-hour series helps families facing financial crises. Each episode will feature a new family, as Antonio uses his expert guidance and tough love to get them out of their monetary pit.

“‘Family Takeover’ is extremely relevant to our growing gender-balanced audience as financial distress can happen to any family,” said Sharon Levy, Spike TV exec VP of original series. The series is the latest project to join Spike’s broad-reaching unscripted programming slate, which includes “Bar Rescue,” “Ink Master” and “Catch a Contractor.”

Slated to premiere this fall, “Family Takeover” was created by Ugly Brother Studios, a Sky Vision partner. Tim Duffy and Mike Duffy, who will serve as exec producers, said, “This is a compelling and timely issue that touches the entire country. By teaching these families to run like a business, Victor has found an innovative solution that yields potentially life-changing takeaway for the average viewer.”

Production begins in Los Angeles this spring.
