“Entertainment Tonight” is bringing Us Weekly editor Jennifer Peros onto their team, Variety has learned, in a continued effort to boost the company’s breaking news and exclusive reporting efforts across all platforms.
Peros will come onto the “ET” team, based in New York, as senior news editor with both editorial and talent-based roles. She will have on and off camera responsibilities, filing breaking celebrity news stories for ET Online, and appearing daily on “Entertainment Tonight’s” broadcast.
At Us Weekly, Peros held the title of deputy news director, and was at the magazine since 2011. Prior, she held producing roles at Fox News Channel.
“For 34 years, ‘Entertainment Tonight’ has been the leading source of celebrity and Hollywood news,” said “ET” exec producer Brad Bessey. “As we focus on the future, we are strengthening our already incredible team and leadership roles. Jen is respected for her impeccable sources, insights and journalistic integrity and will work well with audiences as we connect with 12.4 million people a day across all our platforms. She gets it and she gets it right.”
Peros begins her new post at “Entertainment Tonight” on Sept. 1.
