Emily Alyn Lind Joins Cast of McG’s ‘The Babysitter’

Emily Alyn Lind has joined the cast of New Line’s horror comedy “The Babysitter,” Variety has learned.

She joins a cast that already includes Bella Thorne, Samara Weaving as the titular babysitter, Judah Lewis, Robbie Amell and Andrew Bachelor aka internet personality King Bach. McG is directing from Brian Duffield’s script, which received top placement on the 2014 Blacklist.

The story centers on a 12-year old boy and his babysitter on a night when things take an unexpected turn for the worst. Production will take place in Los Angeles during the fall.

McG and Mary Viola will produce. Duffield will executive produce along with Wonderland’s newly promoted VP Steven Bello, who brought the project into the company.

Wonderland Sound and Vision is co-financing through a partnership with Zack Schiller of Boies/Schiller Film Group. Schiller will serve as exec producer along with James McGough.

New Line’s Richard Brener, Walter Hamada and Dave Neustadter will oversee production.

Alyn Lind is set appear next in the CBS pilot “Rush Hour,” which is based on the hit movie and her other past credits include “Mockingbird” and “Hidden.” She is repped by Coast to Coast Talent Group and attorney Harris Hartman.
