DirecTV Orders ‘Undeniable with Joe Buck’ Sports Series (EXCLUSIVE)

Call it “Inside the Actors Studio” for the sports world.

DirecTV has ordered “Undeniable with Joe Buck,” a one-on-one interview show hosted by the Emmy-winning sportscaster. The 10-episode series, which hails from Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Productions, will feature in-depth interviews with sports legends Michael Phelps, Derek Jeter, Troy Aikman, Kelly Slater, Jerry Jones, Wayne Gretzky, Jimmy Johnson and many more.

“Undeniable” has been filming since early August for a planned fall premiere on DirecTV’s Audience Network.

“Personally, this is the opportunity of a lifetime and I am excited by the challenge of being able to showcase my abilities as an interviewer, which is not something I am able to do when doing play-by-plays,” said Buck. “When I am on stage interviewing these icons, I am just as excited as the viewer to get to know these icons as people and learn what shaped their incredible journeys.”

Said exec producer Vaughn, “We’re fortunate to have a guest list that includes the best of the best, whose stories of success, failure, hopes, dreams, love and loss transcend sports in a way we can all understand and ultimately relate to.”

“Undeniable” will be executive produced by Buck, Vince Vaughn and Peter Billingsley, co-executive produced by Victoria Vaughn and produced by Micah Mason.

“Partnering with Wild West Productions on ‘Undeniable’ is a great opportunity for DirecTV to add another premium quality series to its unparalleled sports programming, only strengthening our position as the leader in sports,” said Chris Long, DirecTV’s SVP of original content and production.

It’s been a big day for DirecTV news. Earlier, it was announced that Greg Poehler will star opposite Rachel Blanchard in the channel’s comedy series “You Me Her” produced by Entertainment One Television.
