Netflix Sets ‘Daredevil’ Premiere Date, Renews ‘Marco Polo’ for Season 2

Netflix has set premiere dates for seven of its upcoming original series — including “Marvel’s Daredevil” — and renewed “Marco Polo” for a second season of 10 episodes.

Netflix’s Ted Sarandos announced the news at the streaming network’s Television Critics Assn. panel on Wednesday in Pasadena.

Marco Polo” stars Lorenzo Richelmy as the titular explorer.

Daredevil” will premiere Friday, April 10. The series stars Charlie Cox as the blind hero, with Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson rounding out the cast. The superhero show is produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios; executive producers are Steven S. DeKnight, Jeph Loeb and Drew Goddard.

Tina Fey’s “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” starring Ellie Kemper, will debut with 13 episodes on March 6.

Jan. 16: DreamWorks Animation’s “The Adventures of Puss in Boots” premieres in North America, Latin America, U.K./Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux.

Feb. 6: “Ever After High: Spring Unsprung,” premieres globally.

Feb. 13: “Mako Mermaids” premieres in North America, Latin America, U.K./Ireland, the Nordics and Benelux.

March 20:Bloodline,” starring Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn and Linda Cardellini and exec produced by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler, premieres globally.

May 8: “Grace and Frankie,” starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin and created by Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris, premieres globally.
