But the roadblock was securing clearances in other key markets. Tribune and prospective distrib Debmar-Mercury could not line up enough affiliates to make the show viable.
Earlier Thursday, Tribune stations renewed the Ferguson-hosted gameshow “Celebrity Name Game” for a second season.
Ferguson ended his 10-year run as host of CBS’ “The Late Late Show” in December.
