The actress, who had a recurring role in season two of the anthology series, “Asylum,” will be a series regular in the fifth installment, “American Horror Story: Hotel.”
In true Ryan Murphy form, the show creator made the announcement Tuesday on Twitter:
Very excited to announce that Chloe Sevigny returns to the AHS family as a series regular on “AHS: Hotel.”

“Hotel” will also star Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Wes Bentley and Lady Gaga.
Murphy previously worked with Bomer on HBO’s “Normal Heart,” “Glee” and “The New Normal.” Bomer appeared on “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” the same season in which Bentley starred, as Edward Mordrake. Jackson had a recurring arc on “Glee.”
“I love collaborating with Ryan Murphy,” Bomer said at PaleyFest earlier this month, teasing whether his character will have a romantic relationship with Lady Gaga’s. “It feels like this world where there are no bounds.”
“American Horror Story: Hotel” is the first season that will not star Jessica Lange. At PaleyFest, the actress confirmed she is not returning to the show.
