Chicago Med” showrunner Andrew Dettmann is no longer attached to the NBC medical drama, Variety has learned.

“Andrew Dettmann won’t be continuing as an executive producer on ‘Chicago Med,’” a spokesperson for the show tells Variety. “The network and studio value their relationship with Andy and plan to continue to work on other projects together.”

Insiders say Dettmann’s departure is due to creative differences.

“Chicago Med” would have marked Dettmann’s first sole showrunner gig. Previously, he worked as an exec producer on “CSI.”

There is no immediate replacement for Dettmann, but the Dick Wolf drama is being run by a strong group of exec producers with the production moving forward in a positive direction. Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, Arthur Forney, Danielle Gelber and Peter Jankowski are still serving as exec producers.

The third series in the “Chicago” franchise (following “Fire” and “PD”), “Chicago Med” follows the day-to-day chaos of a team of doctors in the Windy City.

Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss and Yaya Dacosta star. “Pretty Little Liars” alum Torrey DeVitto and “Jane the Virgin’s” Rachel DiPillo also recently joined the ensemble.
