CBS has promoted Tiffany Smith-Anoa’i to senior VP of entertainment diversity and communications.

Smith-Anoa’i will expand the scope of her duties as CBS’ top entertainment diversity exec with a mandate to develop new recruiting and talent scouting programs. She will continue to liaise with industry orgs, guilds and advocacy orgs on diversity and employment outreach issues on both sides of the camera.

Smith-Anoa’i “works diligently to promote an all-inclusive philosophy throughout the creative process while her unbridled passion and strong voice has resulted in new network diversity initiatives that have created career opportunities for diverse writers, directors and performers,” said CBS Entertainment chairman Nina Tassler. “We look forward to Tiffany continuing to advance the dialogue of diversity with all of our constituents.”

Smith joined CBS’ publicity department in 2000. She was tapped to head diversity initiatives for the network in 2009.
