ABC is developing an offbeat comedy from Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael’s shingle about a woman who lands a job as an in-home health aide just after she’s fresh out of prison.

“Crystal” is penned by Elizabeth Laime, an Upright Citizens Brigade alum who produces the podcasts “Totally Laime,” “Totally Married” and “Totally Mommy.” The project is in the early stages of development.

Wilson and Raphael are exec producing through their ABC Studios-based production banner. Laime will serve as supervising producer.

Wilson, who became a comedy “it” girl with her run on ABC’s “Happy Endings,” at present stars in Hulu’s “The Hotwives of Las Vegas,” and she has a role in Tig Notaro’s Amazon comedy pilot “One Mississippi.”

Wilson and Raphael have been writing partners since they met at NYU. The pair are working on a comedy screenplay for Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gloria Sanchez production imprint. Wilson and Raphael wrote and starred in the comedy “Ass Backwards,” which bowed at Sundance earlier this year.

Wilson and Raphael are repped by UTA and attorney PJ Shapiro. Wilson is also with manager Naomi Odenkirk. Laime is repped by Thruline’s JB Roberts and attorney Adam Kaller.
