Michael Bouson has been upped to chief operating officer of Authentic Entertainment, the Endemol Shine North America-based production company behind “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” and “Flipping Out.”

Bouson’s promotion is part of a restructuring of Authentic under CEO/co-founder Lauren Lexton following the departure of co-founder Tom Rogan.

Among other appointments, three company vets have been promoted: Doug Mirabello advances to senior VP of development, Jeff Weaver is upped to senior VP of current programming and Will Pisnieski becomes chief technology officer and head of post-production.

Lexton cited the strength of the company’s exec team for its success in fielding a steady stream of cable reality hits.

“We’ve always prided ourselves on the fact that we recognize great talent; those who work behind the scenes to create some of the most creative content out there, and those in front of the camera who bare their souls for the world to see,” Lexton said.
