Authentic Entertainment Co-Founders Split: Tom Rogan Steps Down, Lauren Lexton Renews CEO Contract

Authentic Entertainment co-founder Lauren Lexton is renewing her contract as CEO, while her co-founder and former co-CEO Tom Rogan will step down after 15 years with the production company.

The Endemol Shine North America subsidiary has produced unscripted shows including “Ace of Cakes,” “Toddlers & Tiaras,” “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” and “Flipping Out.”

“For 15 years, Tom Rogan has been my trusted partner and collaborator,” said Lexton in an official release. “We have been trailblazers in the industry and will continue that with new programming and new ideas for the changing television landscape. The team we built together will remain, which is in keeping with the Authentic spirit of rewarding success and promoting from within. The resources that are available to us now through the new Endemol Shine are vast, and we are already taking advantage of opportunities in formats, social media, marketing partnerships and research.”

Authentic Entertainment was acquired by Endemol in 2010. It is in production on “Cakemasters” for Food Network, “Knife Fight” for Esquire and series for FYI, History channel and Discovery.
