Asylum Entertainment, a division of Legendary, is expanding its executive ranks after an uptick in internal production and demands of the marketplace.

CEO Steve Michaels and president Jonathan Koch attribute much of credit for the momentum to Ryann Lauckner, who is being promoted to exec vice president of the company.

“It’s a great feeling to promote from within, especially with a talent like Ryann, whose track record and work ethic are second to none,” Michaels said. “She’s an absolutely incredible executive.”

Michaels and Koch also announced the promotions of Joan Harrison to head of scripted television and Stephanie Lydecker to head of unscripted Programming.

Lydecker has brought on senior vice president Matt Shanfield, who is coming Oxygen. She has also announced the hiring of vice president Ben Bitonti, who has been in overall deals at eOne, NBC and GRB. (Both men are pictured above).

“It’s gratifying that so many talented and sought-after people have landed at Asylum and we expect great things as we move forward together,” Michaels said.
