“Ash vs. Evil Dead” will spook up Halloween with an Oct. 31 premiere date on Starz for the hotly anticipated horror series, starring original “Evil Dead” film franchise star Bruce Campbell.
The premiere date was announced Friday at the show’s Comic-Con panel in San Diego, Calif. Also at the annual mega fan-fest — where “Ash vs. Evil Dead” had a themed booth on the convention room floor, complete with Ash’s trailer — the first live-action trailer for the upcoming show was revealed.
“Ash vs. Evil Dead” stars Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Jill Marie Jones, alongside Campbell, who was on hand at Comic-Con to sign autographs for fans.
The 10-episode season is exec produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, showrunner Craig DiGregorio and Campbell.
