Allison Wallach has been named president of television producer Jupiter Entertainment.

A former agent at United Talent Agency, Wallach will help Jupiter expand into new genres of TV shows and distribution platforms. The company currently has seven series airing on A&E, Discovery, TLC, Oxygen, Animal Planet and TV One, including “Welcome to Myrtle Manor,” “Wild West Alaska,” “Snapped” and “Homicide Hunter.”

Wallach reports to Jupiter’s founder and CEO Stephen Land, and is based in the company’s New York offices.

“After working closely with Allison for the past four years at UTA, we were convinced that her many talents, contacts and creativity will make her an invaluable asset to our overall team,” Land said.

Wallach had represented Jupiter while part of UTA’s alternative television department, where she helped grow the agency’s international and cable television business.

“After years of working closely with Jupiter, I feel that transitioning to president of their company is both a natural and exciting next step,” Wallach said. “As one of the most well-established production companies in the industry, I look forward to helping them grow their already extraordinary business.”

Before UTA, Wallach oversaw scripted and unscripted series for the BBC and Lifetime Television.
