“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” fans will soon have more Lincoln Campbell to love.
The ABC superhero-focused series is promoting actor Luke Mitchell to a series regular for season three. The character of Lincoln was first introduced last season as a member of the Inhuman tribe lead by the mother of Chloe Bennet’s Agent Skye. He possesses the ability to generate and wield electricity.
After its season two finale, “SHIELD” executive producer Jeffrey Bell expressed interest in expanding the character’s role in the series.
“Luke was an awesome addition and now’s the time for us … to sit down and figure out exactly how to tell those stories,” he told Variety. “But we loved having Lincoln this past year and think he was a great addition so that’s definitely on the table.”
“SHIELD” was created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen and hails from ABC Studios and Marvel Television. They serve as exec producers as well as Stan Lee, Alan Fine, Joe Quesada, Bell and Jeph Loeb.
