BARCELONA– Pre-school skein “Minchi’s Adventures” will be unveiled by Spain’s BRB at this year’s Mip Junior and Mipcom TV marts.
Produced by Coruña-based CTV Media and Galician regional pubcaster TVG, “Minchi” turns on a talkative, witty lizard discovering the world from her terrarium whicvh sports Internet facilities. A 50 x 3 minute skein, “Minchi” mix toons with live action and puppets. BRB handles worldwide rights except for Italy, where Mondo TV has rights.
One of Spain’s biggest kids TV producers through its creative studio, Screen 21, BRB Internacional will hit Cannes with an extensive catalog including its most recent productions: “Invizimals,” “Filly Funtasia,” “Mica” and “Bernard.”
A co-production of Sony Computer Entertainment, BRB and pubcasters TVE and TVC, “Invizimals” features creatures supposedly invisible to the human eye A coming-of-age fantasy-adventure “Filly Funtasia” is a co-production with Hong Kong-based Dracco, a children’s brand creator-distributor.
Co-produced with Plural Entertainment, publishing house Santillana and pubcaster TVE, “Mica” turns on a six-year-old girl’s adventures.
Comedic “Bernard” is a now multi-prized BRB classic about a popular paunchy polar bear. Series is co-produced with France’s M6, South Korea’s EBS and RG Animation Studios.
BRB has become one of Europe’s main aggregator partners for cartoons on YouTube launching last summer a YouTube channel of BRB’s own multiplatform webpage, animakids.com It is currently producing its first toon feature “Dogtanian,” an adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ 17th century classic adventure “The Three Musketeers,” but with dogs as the swashbucklers. Co-produced with Chinese animation firm Mili Pictures “Dogtanian” is scheduled to finish production at the end of 2016. “Super Bernard” is another BRB feature project.
Mip Junior unspools over this Oct. 3-4 weekend, Mipcom run most of the week, over Oct. 5-8.
