Now there’s a genius in the “Family.”
“Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane — who also executive produced Fox’s Emmy Award-winning series “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” — has been tapped by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association as the recipient of the Louis XIII Genius Award for excellence in the television arts, which will be presented at the annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards on May 31 in LA.
“Whether he’s in the writer’s room, behind the camera or in the recording studio, Seth MacFarlane has become one of Hollywood’s most beloved talents,” said BTJA President Joey Berlin. “MacFarlane’s work has been a fixture on our screens – both large and small – for almost two decades. His humor and talent is undeniable, and we’re honored to present him with (this award).”
The BTJA also announced the nominees for the inaugural “Most Bingeworthy Show” award, the sole category to be voted on by fans. Votes can be cast by visiting www.AETV.com/Bingeworthy or tweeting using the following hashtags:
