Adam Crozier, CEO of ITV, will receive Variety’s 2015 Achievement in International Television Award.

Variety associate publisher Donna Pennestri will present him with the honor at an exclusive cocktail reception at this year’s Mip TV market.

“The Achievement in International Television Award is given to individuals who exhibit leadership, creativity and innovation in the global television marketplace,” Pennestri said in a statement. “In the past five years since Adam Crozier was named CEO, ITV has exhibited real growth.

“ITV Studios and ITV Studios Global Entertainment make, distribute and sell more than 40,000 hours of television worldwide to over 3,000 international broadcasters, while ITV Studios U.S. Group has become the leader of independent non-scripted television production in the U.S.,” she said. “Crozier has grown these various businesses so effectively and strategically, there is no one in this space more deserving than him to receive our award this year.”

ITV Studios America, led by Orly Adelson, produces Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” among other nonscripted hits.

Variety executive editor Steven Gaydos added, “As ITV celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, and its studios arm builds on a heritage of over 50 years of award-winning and critically acclaimed program creation, Adam Crozier has expertly led his teams by maintaining a firm appreciation of the company’s storied history, all the while taking huge leaps into the future of the international television business, especially via its studios’ expansion into territories beyond the U.K., including the U.S. ITV has developed a keen eye for commissioning big hits in all formats from ‘Downton Abbey’ to ‘The X Factor’; and ITV Studios produces everything from the world’s longest-running drama serial ‘Coronation Street’ and hit international drama franchises ‘Mr. Selfridge’ and ‘Agatha Christie’s Marple’ in the U.K. to original unscripted formats ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ and ‘Duck Dynasty’ in the U.S., not to mention the countless hours of local programming it also produces for Australia, France, Germany and the Nordics. Crozier and his team’s work speaks for itself, and we look forward to learning what’s to come in the company’s future.”

Past honorees of Variety’s Achievement in Intl. TV Award include Anke Schaeferkordt and Guillaume de Posch, co-CEOs of RTL Group.

Variety’s exclusive, invite-only reception will host execs, producers, creatives and partners who have worked with ITV over the years.

Mip TV runs April 13-16 in Cannes, France.
