Kanye West will headline the FYF music festival in Los Angeles this weekend, it was announced Thursday.
The announcement was made via Twitter, confirming that West would play on Saturday night in place of Frank Ocean.
Another tweet from the festival’s account said that Ocean had canceled his headlining appearance but did not disclose a reason for his absence. According to the event website, Ocean cancelled the gig “on his own terms.”
The addition of West represents a massive boost in star power for FYF. Other scheduled performers for the two-day festival include Morrissey, D’Angelo and the Vanguard, FKA Twigs, Chet Faker, Flume, Belle & Sebastian, Bloc Party and Run the Jewels.
“FYF Fest is excited to have Kanye West play this weekend in his newly adopted home of Los Angeles,” reads a statement on the fest’s website.
West was recently announced as a headliner for this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival as well, which is slated for mid-September.
FYF will take place at the L.A. Memorial Sports Arena and Exposition Park on Aug. 22 and 23.
