Le Vision Pictures USA is teaming with Bernie Goldmann (“The Last Witch Hunter”) to produce Jayson Rothwell’s action movie “Zodiac: Year of the Snake.”

Goldmann will produce under his banner Goldmann Pictures, alongside Le Vision Pictures CEO Zhang Zhao. The film follows a group of international peace keepers, inspired by the 12 Chinese zodiac signs.

Le Vision Pictures USA is the Los Angeles arm of China’s Le Vision Pictures, which produced the three-film “Tiny Times” franchise and co-financed and co-distributed “The Expendables 2” and “The Expendables 3” in China. Le Vision is also a producer with Universal and Legendary East on Zhang Yimou’s “The Great Wall,” starring Matt Damon.

“‘Zodiac’ is the perfect addition to our slate as it encompasses everything we look for in our projects – four quadrant global tent poles with franchise potential,” Zhang Zhao said.

Goldmann’s producing credits include “300” and “300: Rise of an Empire.”

The deal was negotiated by Steve Saltzman of Loeb and Loeb and Simon Sun of Le Vision.
