Even if you can’t be in Anaheim for Star Wars Celebration’s panel on “Episode VII: The Force Awakens,” you can follow along with all the action from the convention via livestream.
The panel features “Force Awakens” director J. J. Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy discussing the future of the iconic franchise, as well as special guest appearances from cast members and engineers, and a first look at the second teaser trailer for “Episode VII.”
Abrams and Kennedy’s portion of the panel begins around the 43 minute mark in the video above. Also on hand for the presentation were franchise newcomers John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) and Daisy Ridley (Rey), and original trilogy stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels, who all shared their gratitude and enthusiasm for the fans and the franchise as a whole. Abrams also shared some new details about some of the landscapes and physical effects fans can expect to see, before bringing out R2-D2 and new droid BB8, whose ball-like design was achieved with practical effects instead of CGI.
