Disney has been developing a sequel to 2010’s “Tron: Legacy,” which grossed $400 million worldwide, but has not yet greenlit “Tron 3.” If it goes ahead, it’s expected to shoot in Vancouver, where “Tron: Legacy” was filmed.
“Tron: Legacy” was a sequel to the 1982 movie “Tron,” starring Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner inside a computer world. Hedlund portrayed the son of Bridges’ character in “Legacy,” while Wilde portrayed a humanized algorithm.
Justin Springer is on board as a producer.
Kosinski’s previous credits include Tom Cruise sci-fi film “Oblivion.” Wilde was last seen in the horror movie “The Lazarus Effect.” Hedlund will be playing Hook in Warner Bros.’ Peter Pan origin story “Pan.”
Wilde is repped by WME, Untitled and Ziffren Brittenham. Hedlund is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment and Sloane Offer.
