Chris Evans Is Alice Eve’s Hero in Trailer for His Directorial Debut ‘Before We Go’

Chris Evans is a hero through and through.

Evans trades in his “Captain America” shield for a shiny trumpet in the first trailer for his directional debut, “Before We Go.”

“I felt that we met in Grand Central [Station] for a reason,” Alice Eve’s (“Star Trek Into Darkness”) character says in the movie. “We were meant to find each other.”

Evans’ character help Eve’s navigate New York City after her purse is stollen and she’s stranded in the Big Apple.

The serendipitous encounter leads to a permanent romantic connection à la Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy’s relationship in Richard Linklater’s “Before Sunrise.”

“Before We Go” is available on VOD now and bows in select theaters September 4.
