The new label is debuting with handling sales on the SXSW horror title “Hangman,” starring Jeremy Sisto, Kate Ashfield, Ty Simpkins and Ryan Simpkins. The new label will offer titles in thriller, horror and action.
Alchemy will release the film in the U.S. in February. The film is directed by Adam Mason from a script he wrote with Simon Boyes, in which a family returns home from vacation and slowly discovers that their residence has been sabotaged.
Mason and Boyes also produced the film, along with Jeremy Sisto and Mary Church. Variety’s Dennis Harvey gave the film a strong review, calling it “a creepy new spin on found-footage horror.”
Myriad’s Audrey Delaney negotiated international sales rights with Gersh’s Jay Cohen negotiating on behalf of the filmmakers.
