Tom Holland has joined James Gray’s “Lost City of Z” alongside Charlie Hunnam, Sienna Miller and Robert Pattinson.

Holland was cast in June as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Production on “Lost City of Z” has started in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and will continue for five weeks followed by shooting in Colombia throughout September and October.

“Lost City of Z” is based on David Grann’s 2009 book about Percy Fawcett, a soldier and explorer who disappeared in the 1920s while searching for a mythical city in the Amazon jungles of Brazil that he believed had been discovered on a prior expedition.

MICA Entertainment is financing. Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner are producing via Plan B Entertainment along with Anthony Katagas and Dale Johnson. MadRiver Pictures’ Marc Butan is exec producing with MICA’s Julie B. May and Glenn Murray.

Sierra/Affinity is representing international sales, with CAA overseeing domestic rights.
