FX Networks has bought the exclusive U.S. commercial TV premiere rights to “Straight Outta Compton” following its $60.2 million opening at the U.S. box office.

Universal’s “Straight Outta Compton” had the fifth-highest August premiere of all time and the biggest August debut for an R-rated film.

FX Networks also secured TV rights this year to “Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation,” “Minions,” “Jurassic World” and “Furious 7.” It’s also licensed “Trainwreck,” “Spy,” “Pixels,” “Terminator: Genisys,” “Ted 2,” “Pitch Perfect 2,” “Taken 3,” “Kingsman: The Secret Service” and “Home.”

FX Networks noted that it licensed 67% of all 2014 movies that grossed more than $100 million at the U.S. box office.
