Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Keaton have been in a lot of movies. But when the actors walk down the street, there are only one or two movies that fans constantly reference.
For Jackson, he explains, that movie is Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction.”
“People love it so much,” he said of the 1994 classic. “Every year I get millions of new fans because all of these kids come of age and they think it’s the coolest thing they’ve ever seen.”
But his turn as the Bible-quoting hit-man Jules Winnefield almost had a much different look.
According to Jackson, his character’s Jheri curls were purely accidental. It turns out Quentin Tarantino had initially wanted Jackson to wear a blaxploitation, big afro wig opposite his hit-man partner, John Travolta. But that all quickly changed one day in pre-production.
