Amy Pascal’s production label at Sony continues to take shape with the appointment of long-time associate Rachel O’Connor to run her newly-named Pascal Pictures, Variety has confirmed.

O’Connor will leave her position as a senior v.p. for production at Sony Pictures to take the new job, where she will help Pascal make several marquee films and develop new projects.

O’Connor served as a senior production exec at Sony, working with Pascal for 17 years on projects like “Zombieland,” “District 9,” and the “Amazing Spider-Man” films. The newly-named executive will run both film and television endeavors.

Among Pascal’s projects are the relaunch of Spider-Man, which is being made in conjunction with Marvel, and a Barbie live-action film.
