Molly Shannon, Paul Reiser and newcomer Tim Boardman have joined the inspirational dramatic comedy “Miles,” currently shooting in New York City.
Nathan Adloff (“Nate and Margaret”) is directing from a semi-autobiographical script co-written by Adloff and Justin D.M. Palmer. Missi Pyle, Stephen Root, Annie Golden (“Orange Is the New Black”), Romy Rosemont (“Glee”), Yeardley Smith (“The Simpsons”) and Ethan Phillips also star.
The story centers on a young gay man who discovers his recently deceased father has squandered his tuition fund in an illicit affair. He joins the girls’ volleyball team in his small town to win a college scholarship.
Ash Christian of Cranium Entertainment is producing. Executive producers are Anne Clements, Stephen Israel, Lisa G. Black, Jim Stephens, Abraham Brown, Grey Sample, Monika Casey and Kelly Burkhardt.
Reiser was last seen in “Whiplash.”
