Level 33 Entertainment has acquired North American rights to romantic drama “After Words,” starring Marcia Gay Harden, Oscar Jaenada and Jenny Ortega, Variety has learned.
Red Sea Media is handling international sales in Cannes. A theatrical release for the film is planned for August in North America.
Juan Feldman produced and directed from Joel Silverman’s script. Harden plays a librarian attempts to escape her mid-life crisis by traveling to Costa Rica, where she meets a younger man who takes her on an unexpected journey.
Harden was last seen in “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Jaenada starred in “Cantinflas.”
The project was developed in 2012 as “The Librarian.” ANA Media, Classic Pictures and Tom Rubin negotiated the deal on behalf of Mano A Mano Films.
