Lionsgate has added more than 30 new licensing partners for a new collection of themed products inspired by the Hunger Games franchise.
The studio said the items include offerings specific to the upcoming final installment, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” which opens Nov. 20 with Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth returning.
The merchandising program is the largest of its kind handled by Lionsgate’s internal consumer products team and includes apparel, accessories, jewelry and collectible products. The items started rolling out to retail during recent weeks.
Partners include toymaker Mattel; design and merchandising company Bioworld Merchandising; pop culture collectible maker Funko; gaming gear subscription service Loot Crate; costume and costume accessories licensee Rubie’s Costume; and wall art, stationary and accessories manufacturer Pyramid International.
“The World of the Hunger Games” collection includes moments from the first three films and a new collection of products developed using creative elements that focus on the climatic events from the final film.
