Jason Momoa will star in the action-thriller “Braven.”
Highland Film Group will launch international sales at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival.
Lin Oeding is directing from Thomas Pa’a Sibbett’s screenplay based on Mike Nilon’s original story. Momoa and Brian Mendoza’s Pride of Gypsies will produce alongside Nilon and Molly Hassell.
Momoa plays a humble logger residing along the U.S.-Canada border who’s confronted by a group of deadly drug runners and must do everything in his power to protect his family.
Momoa was recently announced as Aquaman for Warner Bros.-DC Entertainment’s “Justice League” movies and James Wan’s “Aquaman.” Oeding has worked on design for “Straight Outta Compton” and “Ant Man.”
Momoa is represented by Agency for the Performing Arts and Link Entertainment.
