Virginia Gardner has landed the female lead in indie drama “Goat,” produced by David Gordon Green.

Andrew Neel is attached to direct with Ben Schnetzer and Nick Jonas also set to star.

The story follows a 19-year-old who, reeling from a terrifying assault, enrolls into college with his brother and pledges the same fraternity. What happens there, in the name of “brotherhood,” tests the boy and his loyalty to his brother in brutal ways.

James Franco, Christine Vachon, David Hinojosa, Pamela Koffler and Vince Jolivette join Green as producers in association with Killer Films and Rabbit Bandini Productions.

In addition to starring in “Project Almanac,” Gardner can also be seen on ABC’s “The Goldbergs.” She is repped by ICM Partners, 3Arts and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
