Cannes: Gaspar Noe’s Threesome Drama ‘Love’ Nears Deal With Alchemy

Alchemy is nearing a deal for North American rights to Gaspar Noe’s racy threesome drama “Love.”

The film, a late addition to the Cannes Midnight screening section, centers on the erotic relationship between a man and two women. The official poster depicts that trio in a saliva-dripping kiss.

The Argentinian-born Noe directed from his own script. “Love” stars Karl Klusman, Klara Kristin and Aomi Muycock. CAA and Wild Bunch are brokering the deal.

Alchemy specializes in independent distribution with a catalog of over 650 titles. It rebranded itself  last year, changing its name from Millennium Entertainment, and has been acquiring rights to film festival titles such as Mitch Dickman’s marijuana documentary “Rolling Papers” and Antoine Bardou-Jacquet’s action-comedy “Moonwalkers.”

Alchemy acquired North American distribution rights Friday to post-apocalyptic thriller “The Survivalist,” which made its world premiere at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. The film stars Martin McCann, Mia Goth and Olwen Fouere.

K5 International is handling international sales at Cannes.

News about “Love” was first reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
