Rick Bieber and Ken Clark have partnered to form a new independent feature film production company, Minds I Cinema, which will launch with demonic love story “The Other.”

Bieber is directing from his own screenplay. Dominic Sherwood, Jill Hennessy, Drea de Matteo, Charlbi Dean and Sinclaire Schaefer star, with shooting to begin in Los Angeles this month.

Sherwood (“Vampire Academy”) will portray a young man tormented by the possibility of descending into the depths of insanity. Highland Film Group is handling international sales, with the Gersh Agency representing the domestic sale.

Minds I Cinema is aiming to produce two fully financed films per year. It said it has a slate of completed screenplays with upcoming production commitments which it plans to announce in the coming months.

Bieber wrote, directed and produced feature film “The 5th Quarter,” starring Aidan Quinn, Andie MacDowell and Ryan Merriman, and “Crazy,” starring Waylon Payne and Ali Larter.

Clark founded and served as chairman of First Guarantee Mortgage Co. and authored “The Story Behind the Mortgage and Housing Meltdown: The Legacy of Greed.”
