Open Road Films and FilmNation Entertainment have set multiple international output deals for Open Road titles, starting with the Jamie Foxx-Michelle Monaghan thriller “Sleepless Night.”
The companies had announced in November that FilmNation Entertainment would sell and service all films that Open Road produces or acquires for international.
The new deals cover the U.K., Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Spain, Canada, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Latin America, Middle East, Greece, Turkey, India, South Africa and Iceland. Distributors include Entertainment One, Sony Worldwide Acquisitions, Telepool, Village Roadshow, LEV Films and Ster Kinekor.
“Sleepless Night” was recently announced by Open Road as its first in-house production. Open Road expects to finance and produce three to four movies annually along with continuing to acquire films for U.S. distribution.
The output deals were negotiated by FilmNation’s CEO Glen Basner, Tara Erer and Rob Carney, and by Open Road’s Elliott Kleinberg.
