In his first solo directing gig, Bobby Farrelly has signed on to helm the comedy “One Night Stan” with Foresight Unlimited, launching sales next week at Berlin.
Shooting is set for August. Farrelly most recently directed, wrote and produced “Dumb and Dumber To” with his brother Peter Farrelly.
The story centers on a charming man, known for his one-night stands and firm commitment not to commit, who falls hard for a woman. When he decides to change his ways he discovers that the woman has her own ideas about relationships. The script is by Kevin Barnett, Chris Pappas and Mike Bernier.
Producers are Bobby Farrelly, Foresight’s Mark Damon and Serafini Pictures’ Susanne Bohnet. Executive producers are Peter Farrelly, Foresight’s Tamara Birkemoe, Shaun Redick, Raymond Mansfield and Grant Cramer.
The Farrelly brothers have teamed on 11 movies including “Dumb and Dumber” and its sequel, “Kingpin,” “Hall Pass,” “Me, Myself & Irene,” “Shallow Hal,” “Stuck on You,” “Osmosis Jones,” “There’s Something About Mary,” Fever Pitch,” the 2007 remake of “The Heartbreak Kid” and “The Three Stooges.”
The deal was negotiated by Cindy Gesner of Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler and Feldman as well as CAA on behalf of Farrelly; and Jenna Sanz-Agero on behalf of Foresight Unlimited.
