The members of the Animation Guild have ratified a three-year successor deal to its master contract with producers.

The guild, which operates as Local 839 of the Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, negotiated with animation studios represented by the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and reached a tentative deal on July 1.

The deal was supported by members by a 68% higher rate than in 2012. The agreement, which covers about 3,000 animators and writers, includes 3% annual wage increases to contract minimums, a 10% pension increase and 30% increases for contribution hours.

The guild also said a new pay structure and higher benefit contributions were negotiated for freelance timing directors.

The deal is retroactive to Aug. 1.
